Headquartered in Singapore, we are leveraging on our expertise and three decades of proven track record in the offshore, marine and oil & gas sectors as we transition to the renewable energy sector including floating wind farms.
Sustainability is fundamental to our existence and vision even as we transition our core expertise in total mooring solutions to the renewable energy sector. Global renewable energy capacity is projected to overtake non-renewable energy capacity by 2025, with wind energy set to grow fastest.
In 2020, the capacity of new wind industry installations grew 53% year on year. The total wind capacity at the end of 2020 was 743GW or about 24% of all renewable energy capacity including hydropower, solar, tidal/current and biomass.
The current trend is towards floating wind farms which can lower environmental impact and costs, and can be deployed rapidly. The total floating wind market is estimated at US$100 billion for the next 10-15 years, with mooring accounting for 15%.
This addressable market of about US$15 billion is a massive opportunity for Mooreast and aligns with its own push towards sustainability.
Installation of offshore renewable energy structures, such as turbines and large rotating blades mounted on floating platforms, requires specialized expertise, products and equipment. Backed by deep experience, Mooreast has developed a range of dedicated products and a Total Mooring Solution that includes advanced engineering that addresses the specific needs of these floating structures and facilities.

Amid mounting concerns about climate change, wind energy is expected to lead a major global drive towards renewable energy. To achieve greater wind speed to generate bigger turbines, wind farms are rapidly pushing further offshore.
Instead of fixed-bottom structures which impact the seabed and marine life, floating wind turbines are preferred. Wind farms will require multiple mooring systems for each of the multiple floating structures.
As a Mooring Solution specialist which has completed major pilot projects successfully, Mooreast sees substantial market opportunities as the industry is at a tipping point towards commercialization of floating wind farms.
